This advertisement for Blue Cross just struck me as funny.

Check it out, and see if you see what I see…

"Lend a hand" Blue Cross ad

It’s subtle, but here goes. The ad shows the guy wearing the pants and the suspenders standing there next to a guy wearing the same kind of pants and shoes, but also wearing a giant horse’s head. This means that the other person is the back end of the horse. In other words, you can lend a hand, but it means you can be a real horse’s ass in the process.

And yes, I know what it’s like to be a horse’s patoot. My father is always quick to point out when I’m acting like one.

Was it the ad designer’s intention to advertise being a horse’s ass? Probably not. But nonetheless, it struck me as funny in that unintentionally-funny kind of way…

Web site: Blue Cross - it should also be noted that they've also paid to wrap Metro railcars with similar ads. I saw CAF 5016 wrapped in a Blue Cross ad on the 9th of this month.

Song: I screened the movies from yesterday, and so I've got the sounds of DC in my head, despite being in Stuarts Draft once again...
