Ocean City Signs
Sometimes, you never know what you are going to end up doing with a day. Such was the case on October 31, 2021, when Elyse, our friend Kyle, and I made a day trip out to Ocean City, Maryland. My original plan while Elyse and Kyle did their thing was to fly my drone around the area, and photograph things from high above. However, a later arrival, cloudy skies, plus large crowds on the ground put the brakes on that plan, as I realized that I couldn’t fly my drone in Ocean City without falling afoul of FAA regulations concerning what I can and cannot overfly. As I drove around Ocean City wondering how I was going to salvage my day, I spotted many of the various lighted commercial signs along Coastal Highway, many of which used neon tubing. Once the sun went down, I broke out my tripod and got to work, going up and down Coastal Highway, photographing signs that caught my interest.
Most of the photos shown here were made using exposure stacking, where I took multiple exposures from the same angle, and then combined them into a single photo.
