This is what I like about going home. At JMU, they don’t have the Lifetime network on the cable. At home, however, they do. So… where am I between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM? In Miami, of course! Well, figuratively speaking. Actually, I’m watching The Golden Girls, which is set in Miami. Very funny show, indeed. In fact, the quote this week comes from an episode of The Golden Girls. Here’s the way the quote, which came from Sophia (second from left in the picture), came about:

Dorothy: Ma, if you couldn’t see, why didn’t you call me to come get you?

Sophia: I tried to but every time I put in a dime and dial a condom popped out. (opens her purse) Here, want one?

What would we do without The Golden Girls, possibly THE funniest TV show ever? What would we do without being able to see Dorothy Zbornak, Rose Nylund, Blanche Devereaux, and Sophia Petrillo (played by Bea Arthur, Betty White, Rue McClanahan, and Estelle Getty, respectively) every night for two shows at a time? We’d definitely have some “laugh deficit”, that’s for sure. Quips like the one above just makes it all the better…
