Basically, this is one of the pitfalls of the new splash photo format. In order to see my face clearly in the smaller size format (the splash photo is now a third smaller than it used to be), some things needed to be cropped, and this is one of those cases where the bear itself needed to be trimmed to fit.
I admit, however, it does look a little weird having the bear’s hand on my shoulder, but not being fully visible in the photo.
Why is there a monster standing behind you in the splash page photo? Looks creepy? Are you sure this wasn’t meant for Schumin After Dark?
